ABOUT OUR CLUB
The Flying Tigers are an avid radio control model airplane club, operating in the Hamilton Ontario region.
We currently have about 80 members. Our club holds a monthly general membership meeting at Hamilton Police Association Banquet Centre, 555 Upper Wellington Street, just South of Queensdale Avenue E, North of Fennel Avenue, the first Wednesday of each month. Meeting's start at 8:00 p.m. est. Attending these meeting is the best way to meet the guys, and get started with us.

What do we have to offer? LOTS !!!

During the course of the year, we hold many model airplane events. Our annual Fun Fly, The May show & tell, The Auction, The great Rubber Race, Annual Scale Aerobatics Contest and many more fun events are standard. In addition to this, we offer a complete training course for new pilots, as well as building tips, where to purchase modeling products and a host of things new members need to know.

Our Flying Field is second to none. Over the past 10+ years our Chief Field Dogs, Brian Facey (1999-2005), Dick Koening, (2006-2007), Chris Pare (2008-2010) and there numerous helpers have worked hard to maintain one of the best sites in southern Ontario.

"The Bill Smith Field" as we like to refer to it, will be going into its 13TH year of operation in the spring of 2010. Although the field is open year round (for those who don't mind the cold) the main stay of the flying will take part in the early spring to late fall leaving the winter open for building and rebuilding (if necessary).

The field is located on Townline Road west from Hwy 56.... One Kilometer north of Hwy 3. We are the second driveway on the south side...... look for the gate with our Flying Tiger sign.       Click here for a map.   If the gate is closed, no one is there.
